Pleas Help Me Disable Ultranav Tapping (RESOLVED)

#1 Post by Trixie » Mon Jul 28, 2008 3:49 pm

The last time I seeked help on this the thread veered to issues that had nothing to do with my problem so I'll try and be as clear as possible this time. I want to prevent the Ultranav trackpad from having the ability to perform a "single click" and "double click." I have tried every possible combination of settings in the control panel and nothing has worked. It is so annoying to constantly have files and folders opened accidentaly. If I cannot solve this then this T42 will be available for sale soon. Thanks in advance to anybody who has any suggestions.

Open the Ultranav Wizard. Under Touch Pad Settings, click Modify. Clear the checkbox that says Enable Tapping. Click OK, then Apply. That's it.

Yes, I was doing that in the Ultranav section of the Mouse control panel. It would disable, but it would be re-enabled after a restart. Now, wouldn't you know it, I removed the Ultranav driver, Windows found new hardware after restarting and did whatever it had to do, and now the "disable tapping" is staying in effect after restarting. Let's see for how long! :-) Thanks for your help.
