My original T40 model number was 2379-D3U, which was a midrange model with the ATI7500 video. Since then I hosed the MB and replaced it with the MB from a better system, one with the 1GB LAN and the ATI Chrome video system. I added 2GB RAM and the 100GB Hitachi 7200 HD. Kept the 1400 proc.

I just added the Atheros A/B/G card and it works fine.

I also just added the ActionTec BMDC200 Modem/Bluetooth card (FRU 91P7315) - but I can't get it to work.

I've installed th card, then the driver WIDCOMM drivers. No joy. I uninstalled the drivers, then uninstalled the card, then reinstalled the drivers. Again, nothing.

No bluetooth devices show up in Device Manager, but the modem itself does show up.

I don't have much of th IBM load installed, as I didn't like the IBM software for managing the wireless network and have no need of the restore features.

What am I missing to get this working?

Thanks!

Weird... first two times I did that, nothing happened other than a windows error that said i didn't have the software installed.

3rd time was a charm - Thanks!
