WPA option missing in Windows XP SP2/SP3

#1 Post by virge » Thu Aug 07, 2008 3:28 pm

I've spent the morning working on this problem instead of work-work which pays the bills. Its driving me crazy!

Here's the situation: I have an Motorola PCMCIA wifi card (WN825G). This card supports WPA and WPA2. My router is set to WPA+WPA2 and I was using the card in my 770X (SP2) machine with WPA enabled and it worked just fine.

I moved the card to my 600X (SP3) and installed the latest drivers, but for some reason the only encryption option I have is WEP.

I've reinstalled the drivers a few times and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? Any help is appreciated.

Andy

Well, don't know what's going on, but its fixed now. I plugged the same card back into the 770X just to make sure it was working properly. When I returned it back to the 600X it was working fine... :??:
