Buy or wait ..what screen

Was wondering if I should buy now or wait to see what happens after the 1st of the year.

does anybody know if the video cards will be upgraded on some of the ones that have the 7500 in them?
Was going to jump on the visa card discount which appears to end at the end of the Year.

also what your opinions on

15 sxga @ 1400 x1050

is the sxga really small?
