My original warranty expired in April of this year. Is it possible to buy an additional warranty from IBM 4 months later?

I'm not sure this is correct. When I extended the still-valid warranty on my son's R60, I asked about this for one of our R52s. The rep told me to call (866) 723-7950 for post-warranty extensions. Good luck.

Yes you can purchase a post warranty extension on some models. It is more expensive though ...

What kind of money are we talking? Double what the normal warranty is?
