Did you install all the IBM/Lenovo drivers etc. for your specific TP? Probably not (yet).

I am pretty sure its a i3000?? it has like 6gb and 32mb but i put in a 128mb aswell and then i tried to format it and stuff and now this

Yeah i dont have the drivers because its my old friends but yeah, is there somewhere i could download them from? I just don't understand how I am sapose to get the drivers onto my laptop from the website. Can i put them on a usb memory stick? Or a disk? I have tried putting in a usb memory stick in my laptop and nothing showed up, possibly because its not XP? I don't know.

with a 6gb hdd and 32mb of ram, it sounds more like an i1300.

look for a black and white sticker on the bottom and post back the 7-character machine id. if there's no sticker, boot to the bios and it should be listed on the initial screen. that will help us point you in the right direction.

USB stick should work. Recommend to install the ethernet driver then download and install the rest online.
