After running the latest updates in System Update (R&R update was included) my T61 (Vista) is stuck in a loop, only booting to Rescue and Recovery (safe mode, normal, last good config) everything boots to R&R.

How do I get out of the loop?

I searched and found the FAQ but it describes how to get out of it if you are booting from CD/DVD. I have a restore partion and I'm afraid it will acctually restore everything if I choose to do a full restore as descibed in the FAQ

Thanks, but the program said that SafeGuard Easy was not installed and couldn't do anything.

I'm still stuck with the loop....
