SafeGuard privatedisk - reusable SecureDrive.vol?

Hello:

Just wondering will I still be able to access the contents of my SecureDrive.vol after restoring my T60 to the original factory condition?

Right now I cannot access the contents of SecureDrive.vol The only way I can log onto laptop is via safe mode and the secure volume is no longer mounting automatically for some reason.

I wish I can manually mount the secure volume but SafeGuard PrivateDisk keeps asking for admin password, which I don't have (yes, I have read the thread "Client Security SecureDrive password problem" so I know the admin password was randomly generated).

Lenovo tech support says they don't deal with this sw issue and even if they did, it will be $195/hr because the warranty has expired...

Many thanks in advance,

Billy

forgot to mention the T60's got CCS7.0 running....

still researching on this.. just wondering would associating keys with secu chip using cssplanarswap.exe allow securedrive.vol to be reused after the reinstall?

thanks
