Someone found such an adapter on eBay.
I think that's great news!

Cheap and easy to make if you have a S-ATA Bay Adapter, surely all you need to add is the Slim Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000.
Can't see any reason why this shouldn't work.
T61p 6460-67G; 15,4 WSXGA+ W7P x64, no hairdryer.
T43p 2668-G2G, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, internal hairdryer
T23 2647-9LG, 14,1 SXGA+, XP Pro, no hairdryer

The original Lenovo/IBM Sata HD Ultrabay adapter will not fit into the Slim Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000 unless you physically modify the SATA Ultrabay adapter.
Also, getting a Slim Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000 cheap (or at all) will be a problem.
