Hard Drive question

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:36 am

Good evening group:

I own a T60 and at this time have a WD 250gig, 5400RPM drive installed. I'm considering picking up a new 4th generation Hitachi 250gig drive, 7200RPM.
Does anyone know if I will notice any difference in the speed of my unit, going to the Hitaci? My current drive has 8meg buffer and the Hitachi has a 16meg buffer.

I can pick the new drive up for $86.00 shipped. Is it worth doing or is the speed difference not worth the cost and work involved?

Thanks in advance, Steve :)
