Power Manager "Reset Battery" procedure question..

I have been running the "reset" battery procedure in Power Manager on my T400, and I was wondering... it doesn't say much about what you can or can't do while it is running. While it was running, for example, after awhile I had to close the lid. So the battery reset had been running part time with the screen on, part time with the screen off.

Does this matter at all to the accuracy of the battery reading after the reset procedure, does anybody know?

I don't know how much of an effect that would really have, but I would think it would be most accurate if the conditions were consistent across the entire procedure.

Thanks! I was hoping a lot more people would chime in, but I guess nobody really knows for sure. :-)

It makes no difference.

The reset process aims to discharge the battery and the fully recharge it to establish the current empty and full end points.

What you are doing during the discharge process to get to empty doesn't have any impact on the reset.
