Halo 2 installation problem

#1 Post by johnny9fingers » Mon Dec 29, 2008 9:53 pm

I am trying to install Halo 2 for Windows Vista, on my T61p for my son. Before it gets very far this error message pops up:

"One of the installation steps failed: redists\credist.msi:
This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid installer package."

I've tryed contacting Windows support but haven't been able to get through to anyone.

Anyone here have any suggestions?

Thanks, John

Try to install it on different computer. Maybe the installation media is corrupted.

I found a fix out in cyberspace. It said to set the windows modual installer to automatic. So I will give both solutions a try....

Thanks,
