I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in my R50e (256MB). I'd like to get a 512 chip now, and a 1 G later. I notice that Apple systems use the same memory configuration DDR PC2700 SODIMM 512MB.
http://onlinemacs.com/product.php?productid=18 is selling Apple chips that match the memory specs for the R50e.
Anyone have any thoughts about these chips?
Thanks
Used Mac PC2700 SODIMM memory ?

the price of $70 for a 512meg is good..
if the specs are the same, they might work..
but i suggest that you verify the specs are exactly identical..

In my experience Apple and IBM ram are most always interchangable. In fact, I frequently buy Kingston and other RAM for ThinkPads when upgrading Mac's because I know it will work and it's cheaper than shopping for RAM for Apple. Plus it's not unusual to open an older Mac and find IBM RAM inside. I'd say go for it! Thinkpads are about the most RAM friendly you'll find. In fact every RAM I've had the guts to try in a Thinkpad has seemed to work flawlessly.
