Mmm, that's an interesting post. What have we to fear from IE8? Anyone tried the Beta version? :|

Some sites check for a specific browser such as IE7. My wife's online school did this and required IE6 (back in the day). When I upgraded some of the home computers to IE7, my wife could not login online at the school website. Of course now IE7 works fine there, but IE8 might break it again (at least for a time).
