After messing with the ridiculously crappy software from Lenovo for a long time, i finally got all the keyboard Fn combinations to work, which wasn't exactly due to Lenovos help thanks to the currently released buggy hotkey driver. Threads on the Lenovo forum dating several months back, conclude the same bugs for T61/p and T60/p.
So, as i now have no intention to ever use System Update, as i certainly don't see the 'Vantage in using this software - how do I uninstall it?
If i go to Add/Remove programs, i don't have the option to either Change or Remove it.
This piece of "cleverly" (not) engineered software stores approximately 600 MB in a "session" subfolder. It is not even the first time people are wondering about this: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?=&p=258064
Sorry for this temper, but i have spent the last five hours getting this to work properly - and have finally partly succeeded. Geez this reminds me of HP drivers including loads of bloatware.
