Hey guys, for the past few months, it seems that every time I right click a file in my T61, a system migration assistant window pops up. I then have to cancel it, then the right click options for the file appears after that. This happens every time I right click in Windows. I have no idea what to do. I've tried searching the net and it seems I'm the only one with this problem. It's driving me crazy having to cancel SMA every time I wanna right click! Any ideas? Thank you.

Go to the control panel, start the Add/remove programs applet, find the assistant on the list, click Uninstall, follow on-screen instructions.

Jeez why didn't I think of that? I always thought SMA was internally part of the system and that I couldn't remove it. Thanks man!

FYI, you can remove almost everything ever installed in windows (even its own components).

Oh thank goodness! I thought *I* was the only one who had that weird problem of right-clicking on a file and having the System Migration Assistant pop up. (The Windows installer pops up too and both have to be cancelled.)
Uninstalling the SMA works to get rid of the error, but I just wonder what caused it in the first place. I know I was poking around a bit at my R60 at the time, including upgrading its firmware, but I don't know if that's what did it. I was also using some disk cleanup software and registry cleaners - maybe it was that.
