Question About Replacement AC Adaptors

My wife has managed to lose the power brick for her X61. Let's just say this isn't the first time, and I'm really getting tired of it.
As I'm now down to one appropriate adapter, that being for my own T61, and I'm not about to let her walk out of the house with that one, I guess I have to do something. She can use it in the house to charge her 8-cell battery, so that will suffice for a while.
So, as usual, I went to eBay to look at adapters. To my surprise, most of the reasonably-priced ones seemed to have no pretense of being IBM / Lenovo units, but seem to be the same Chinese product labeled "Replacement AC Adapter". (Short, sweet, and pithy)
Does anyone have any experience with those aftermarket power bricks? I'm not one to be caught in the mystique of brand name products when the brand X product is every bit as good and is cheaper to boot. But it would be nice to hear that one or more of you have tried such a product and found it acceptable.
