Good source for 500GB hard drives right now?

I'm looking around for a 500GB internal drive for a t61p right now. I know Seagate and WD are offering them and I suspect either will perform just as well given the limits of the computer, so I've been looking for price.

But Newegg, who sell the Seagate Momentus 5400.6 for $95 shipped now, are only selling OEM drives with a 30-day return privilege, Seagate says it is an OEM drive, so there is ZERO warranty from Seagate on it, unless the OEM supplier contracted for one. And Newegg says no, that's wrong, it has a standard retail warranty--but it isn't a warranty drive, so that isn't right. Buy.com is just as bad, providing no warranty statement at all.

Which puts me back to asking...does anyone have a good source for a 500GB drive (9.7mm, 2.5", internal laptop) right now?

Along with an Apricorn universal enclosure I think, as I'll be using it for the old drive, as well as an even older PATA drive that needs to be swept at some point.

I think Newegg is right, it has the standard manufacturer warranty. Think about how many drives they must sell and the huge risk they'd be taking by giving customers incorrect warranty information on their drives. My advice ... if the price is right give it a shot.,Buy one, and when you get it plug in the serial # at the Seagate warranty web page. If it comes up covered you are OK. If not, return it.

..and by the way, if Newegg is wrong so is Zipzoomfly. Not likely , IMHO.
