#1 Post by gidder » Sun Apr 05, 2009 12:51 am

I have a w500 that came with a 160gb and im going to a 320gb and i tried connecting them both to my pc through the internal sata connectors and booted from ghost on a floppy.

everything appeared to go smooth but the new drive wouldnt boot.

ive ghosted countless pc sata drives and never had a problem

operating system is vista

any tips?

It works best if the new target drive is installed in the Thinkpad and the source (old) drive is attached via an SATA to USB 2.0 adapter or in an Ultrabay adapter. I own the linked adapter...use it ALL the time.
