Advanced Mini Docking KB / Mouse slow with USB-is it defect?
I use a T60 on an Advanced Mini Docking on Vista. When I plugin my keyboard and mouse in docking usb the keyboard and mouse do not function right: When pressing a key, the key is repeated numerous times. When connecting keyboard and mouse to the thinkpad itself when the thinkpad is docked, everything runs fine. How can I solve this problem?
There are users on the lenovo forum compaining about usb keyboard problems with the advanced mini dock, too:

This happens to me if I only use external display, when I have internal LCD disabled. When I use both DVI+internal, it works fine (except for a little hotter graphics, having to drive two displays).
Searched, tried, but have never found other solution.

Strange issue, never encountered it, and I run my T60 docked most of the time. Granted, I use XP, but I haven't noticed such a problem during the few days that I used Vista too...
Sometimes it does not quite function right, in the sense that the dock USB ports don't work at all, and the keyboard/mouse are not detected. In such cases, it may be fixed by undocking/redocking or by closing/opening the LCD lid (which somehow cycles the power states of the laptop). In extreme cases (rare) a reboot may be required, but 99% of the time things just work.

Actually, when I posted the previous message here, I tried to disable internal display after a long time. And it seems it does not happen, or maybe it happened once during the week. Not sure what's changed though. I have never had Vista.

Just a thought...
Perhaps the Keyboard Customizer utility would help. The one below is for Vista, but there is an XP version as well.

It is possible that a BIOS update can fix some issues listed here. Check the Summary of changes link in the BIOS update webpage below.

I already use the most actual bios version and the problem still happens. When using the notebook alone in the dock the keyboard is always okay and the mouse nearly every time.
