How to connect disk via USB?

I have a PATA drive I would like to connect VIA usb so I can get some information off of it. How can I connect it to my tablet? I dont have the CD drive so I wont be able to use the cradle.

Best way is to get a 2.5" USB enclosure for IDE/ATA, around $7.- on Fleabay

I've used these 'outside the enclosure' adapters with great success. They are very useful to have as a troubleshooting tool, to migrate data, etc.

Relatively cheap and they can save you hours and $ when you least expect it.

True, as an example just the other day I attached a full sized 5.25" SATA CD/RW to an X61s and used it to boot installation media.

What about the bad power connectors, as mentioned in customer reviews?
Wouldn't this Apricorn be better? (currently at the same price)

I have the Roswell brand version of this adapter from NewEgg and it works well so far.
