None of my Thinkpads are in the tabook

Hi,
I've been meaning to post about this for a while. I own a UK sourced Z61t, and a X60, X60s, X61, and T60 all purchased in Hong Kong.
After downloading both the current model tabook, and the tabook for discontinued TP, I cannot find any of any model numbers in the tabook.
I assume therefore that the tabook link posted in various places in this site is the US one, and there exists an European and Asia versions.
Can anyone confirm, and let me know where these are? I have searched on the support site with no result.
Thanks

I don't believe that there are other versions of the tabook intended for the European or Asian markets (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). There's two other places where you can get configuration information for your systems:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... OME-LENOVO
(enter your seven character system TYPE in the "Product number" field)
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 39298.html
(HMM index; download the appropriate versions and look in the Parts list/Overall section)

Thanks for the reply.
That's interesting - I had tried those links - and my models are in the database - the website returns the correct data.
Strange they're not in the tabook, and that 5 models are not in there. Makes me think there's no way I could be that lucky to buy 5 machines over a period of years and none are in the tabook. Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket...
If there's anyone interested in a bit of 'sleuthing' my model numbers are:
Z61t - 9448 2FG (UK sourced)
X60 - 1706 BE9
X60s - 1702 BE1
X61 - 7673 66H
T60 - 2007 AB7
Interestingly all my serial numbers start 'L', even the machine purchased in the UK. 'L' = Lenovo built?

If your systems are new enough to not have been purged from the databases, you can also try the Parts Lookup site:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo
and the Warranty Lookup site:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... -WARNTY#sw
Both require your 4-digit type number and system serial number. My understanding is that the first two characters of the serial number denotes the factory in which it was built. And sorry no, I don't have any detailed information on those codes.

"L" does not imply "Lenovo built"...typing this on a 2002 A31p that has a serial beginning with "L"...
Not all submodels will be found in xxbooks...

That's not as strange as you think.
Your Thinkpads are most probably
CTO -- some company ordered a few hundred or thousand notebooks with certain, non-standard configurations. In such cases Lenovo assigns that configuration a new type number.

I've never seen other versions, and as far as I know, the only models explicitly listed in tabook are those for the US and maybe the Canadian markets.

I am curious to find a european tabook.pdf as I only see verizon and at&t wwan modules in the official tabook.pdf I have. In europe we use vodafone wwan modules.

To my knowledge, there isn't one. But there's a feedback address at the top and bottom of the site here ->
http://www.lenovo.com/psref/ Send them a note, and ask if they exist. Report back your findings, please.

Did this ever get sorted?
I would love for a Tabook specifying european models too.
None of the models available through Danish/European resellers, or listed at Danish/European websites are to be found in the Tabook. Take for instance my X200 from last year - Its a 7455, and the only ones listed in the Tabook are the 7454 models.
Same for my X61 tablet purchased in the UK.
My US x61 though is in the Tabook.
I'm in the market for a T410 or T410s and would love to see what models are available, since configure to order is only avilable in the US. But looking up specs is impossible even on the official local Lenovo homepage where they doesnt even list the new models yet :-/ Resellers have them, but they only have the Topsellers.
