Hi.

I have two TP which is still under warranty.
But I can't figure out how the warranties cover my TPs.

Can anyone tell what the differences between
"This product has a special bid three year limited warranty. This product is entitled to parts, labor and on-site repair service (9x5 next business day) in approved locations. Thinkpad batteries have a one year warranty."
and
"This product has a three year limited warranty which includes a ThinkPlus warranty upgrade. This product is entitled to parts and labor and includes on-site repair service. Service is available Monday-Friday, except holidays, with a next business day response objective."

Thanks for answers in advance.

This is a warranty that was provided as part of a bulk corporate purchase of systems. It will probably have specific cavaets on the locations it can be excercised at, so you need to find out what those caveats are.

For the other warranty "ThinkPlus" might be this....
  • ThinkPlus Secure Business is a suite of services designed to protect small businesses’ PCs and their data. ThinkPlus Secure Business provides onsite next business day warranty support, accidental damage protection and online data backup at a great value.
or it might be this...
  • ThinkPad Protection Services and warranty service upgrades help protect your product purchase in case of accidental damages, such as drops or falls, liquid spills and LCD damage. Include a warranty service upgrade with your protection service and gain peace of mind by proactively avoiding potential costly repairs down the road.
Cheers,

Thank, Bill.

I've checked through Lenovo USA, and they both are under warranty but don't have 'accidental damage service' which is what I hoped to have.

Anyway, you are appreciated.

Take care,
Lee

Ok, how about this one:

"This product has a three year limited warranty which includes a ThinkPlus warranty upgrade. This product is entitled to parts and labor and includes on-site repair service. Service is available Monday-Friday, except holidays, with a next business day response objective."

I'm going to find out whether this covers accidental damage.
