Hi guys. Hate to sound like a total NOOB but what does "boot to POST" mean and what does the acronym stand for???

POST = Power On Self Test. It's a basic check of the system's hardware to see if it's operating as it should. The POST period is essentially the time between pressing the power button and getting past the IBM "splash screen". It's assumed that once the system has completed the POST (i.e., boots to POST), then any operating system could be loaded.
