Updating the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Stack?

#1 Post by Tim M » Tue May 12, 2009 1:48 am

I'm currently using the WIDCOMM stack, v. 1.4.3.4 from 2004, in lieu of the XP SP 2 version that doesn't have full profile support. The stack that I have is quite old and I'm wondering if I can simply upgrade using the installer available from Broadcom here: http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php.

Has anyone successfully used a WIDCOMM stack beyond v. 1.4.3.4? I've found that this old version, while good, has some quirks (i.e. it crashes if the machine is suspended or hibernated and so only the mouse profile will work).

Thanks in advance,

Tim
