How long a battery runs

The older version of PC Doctor had a battery run down test that kept the unit going until the battery died and then it reported the time. The PC Doctor version that comes with my S10e does not have that feature; or, at least I don't find a similar test. Is there an application/program that does the same thing?

Disable all power management events (like sleep) and let it run down until the display turns off. Hook a photoelectric cell to an electronic air horn to signal it's off, and to an atomic clock to record the time....
Effective, but scares the bejesus out of the dog. Oh wait...use a kitchen timer or stopwatch

Appreciate the humor and I do have an atomic clock; also I do not have a dog to be disturbed.
In addition I have a stop watch, but, unfortunately it is manually operated and would require my presence at the time of shut down to push the button.
What I'm looking for is an application that will time the battery life without human intervention.

Never heard of anything that does this on a Thinkpad (or Lenovo Netbook) outside of PC-Doctor. Good luck with the search.

The version of PC Doctor that's on my Lenovo S10e does not have the battery life feature as in older versions I remember.. In fact, the version on my T42p doesn't either.
Seems like it ought to be a useful ap for laptops. The battery programs around all make an estimate of remaning time, but none that I've found record the actual REAL running time.
