Power Manager schemes menu and custom schemes

Hi!
Until now, I was using only the standard Power Manager power schemes. Today I decided to add my own and to my amazement, it didn't show up in the power schemes menu opened with left mouse button click on the power meter in the task bar.
Is it by design or am I missing something here?

Hmpf, am I the only one using the Lenovo's Power Manager? Hard to believe...

"Custom" schemes show up for me in both v 2.42 and 2.5. When I select "New" and go through the process it works.

Thanks, dsvochak.
I had been running 2.43 and now I've upgraded to 2.5 but still no go.
Just to clarify, are we both talking about the popup menu showed with a single left button click on the battery meter? AFAIK, you have to enable the advanced mode in the Power Manager to see this menu instead of the slider.
I begin to think that this is by design. I don't like it because opening the Power Manager every time I want to switch to my custom scheme is such a pain. The UI may look somewhat nice but is definitely too sluggish. Shame that the ThinkPad "form follows function" slogan does not apply to the software.

Yes we are talking about the same thing.
I just created a new scheme and it immediatly showed up in the popup menu. I have no idea why its not working for you.

dsvochak, one more question. Are you on XP or Vista?
I'm asking because this seems to be a permissions problem. The custom schemes show up in the popup menu if I add them after starting the Power Manager from the Start menu using a right click / Run as administrator. They don't if I double click the battery meter to start the manager.
Oddly, if I start it by a double click and remove a custom scheme, it disappears from the menu.
This might be a bug in the Power Manager. It would be good if someone with Vista could confirm this.

Since I can see my custom power profiles on the pick list that displays with a single left click on the task bar icon in PM 2.5..... I think not!
Cheers,

I only have a T42 and am using Battery MaxiMiser instead of Power Manager. Nevertheless, the following thread may be helpful (that thread concerns XP).

This was before I knew that it works for others and before I found out that it works if I start the Power Manager as an administrator.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
