Verizon Wireless UNDP BroadBand Option on another network?

Does anyone here have experience with the Verizon Wireless UNDP BroadBand WWAN card? Lenovo only offers embedded WWAN cards for Verizon or ATT, but my contract is with Sprint. Since they both use EVDO, can I order Lenovo's Verizon card and then use it on Sprint?

I did a bit of research I've found that the Verizon card is most likely a Qualcomm Gobi UNDP-1.

The whole point of the Gobi is that it can work with any of the current cell networks, but what I don't know is if Lenovo locks the card, or if Sprint will allow the ESN to be activated on their network. Can anyone offer any insight? Thanks.

Verizon and Sprint use the same technology, which is different than what AT&T and T-Mobile use. I don't think Verizon will let you register a device that was not originally made for Verizon. I am not sure what Sprint's policies are. You might look at EVDOforums.com for an answer. I use AT&T myself, so I am not up-to-date with other carriers.

You are EXTREMELY unlikely to get that card working with Sprint. Both sides made sure that the devices are not interchangeable, although the technology itself is the same.

Ahhh, okay then. I suspected as much, but was hoping the fact that the Gobi was designed with wireless ubiquity in mind might have changed things.
I'll check out the EVDOforums. Thanks for the information guys.
