Hi i have a problem with with wwan on my w500. I know that this section is for t400s and t500s, but i have tried posting in the w500 section but no one has answered so i thought it would be okay to post here since the t500 and w500 has the same wwan card. The card in my laptop is a Ericsson F3507g, which i have tried replacing with an other.

My problem is that sometimes when i boot up the wwan card doesn't show up in access connections and device manager. I have installed ubuntu and have noticed, that it didn't work two times. To my logic this rules out a software problem, am i right about that?

It might seem strange that i just don't send it to lenovo, it's because i called them and i was told that if it's software problem i could end up paying about 250 dollars in handling fees.

I have the same problem with my new T400s that comes with a Ericsson F3507g.
I have solved this by switching on all wireless radios under windows, then rebooting, entering BIOS and loading default settings by pressing F9. I think it should help you too.

I also have helped with this issue to x200 user who has the same problem in this thread http://translate.google.pl/translate?pr ... ry_state0= .
So I think there are some thinkpad laptops with a F3507g card affected by this bug.

I cannot say for sure. I have a T61p and have recently purchased a Sony Ericsson MD400g USB Internet key. I noticed two things:

1. The install from the key did not work. I had to remove the key, download the software from Sony and install manually. That worked.

2, Most times, when I connect, it works. When it doesn't (apparently), I go to Access Connections and start that connection (Rogers USB Internet). Then it works. On rare ocassion, I shut down the MD400g application, shut down the key and remove it. Then re-insert and let it start again. That usually works.
