Wirless signal strength good but connectivity bad on T41p

I have a T41p 2373-GGG with Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI adapter. I can have a signal strength of over 90% but sometimes I'm either not able to connect to the internet or if I eventually do it is after a minute or so's wait. Can anyone explain why this happens or how, if possible, I can avoid it?

I had one of those with exactly the same symptoms. I threw it away and got a proper card (IBM 11/a/b/g). I understand the very newest drivers may solve the problem (I do not know). Please try that first, otherwise you may have to change the card. .... JD Hurst

[censored] that's really annoying. I paid top dollar (actually top sterling!) for this machine and I assumed that it did already have the a/b/g card. Would Bill be able to sell me one? How do I get in touch with him?

Thanks JD, I've taken your advice and downloaded the latest driver (had to get the latest IBM connections as well) and on only 73% signal it is noticeably faster than it was before at 90.
