Thinkpad Bluetooth Laser Mouse malfunctioning after 5 months

As anyone experienced this issue?

5/6 months after buying my first Thinkpad Bluetooth Laser Mouse, the buttons stopped being as responsive as usual. Sometimes, I had to click 3 times the left button, to make it work. Keeping the button pressed for a while didn't help either. Of course I tried repairing the mouse, turning it (and the computer) off/on a few times, replacing the batteries... nothing worked.

I thought that it could have been a defective mouse, so I bought another.
Unfortunately, after 5/6 months, the same happened to me. :(

I really love this mouse, but it seems it's not reliable.

Microsoft is the only non-peripheral company I know of that makes decent peripherals. I buy and use Logitech mice and keyboards.

I've been having the same problem with my Lenovo Bluetooth mouse. I'm getting the left clicks to register about 50% of the time now, and it's very frustrating. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, updating drivers, re-pairing, cleaning, and new batteries. Did you (or anyone else) ever find a working solution?

If it failed after 5 months then send it back under warranty. Then, as Harryc suggests, get a Logitech Bluetooth Mouse, like the V470.
