Help-External HD NOT reconized by "MY computer"

Help-External HD NOT reconized by "MY computer"

I just put in my extra HD pulled from my X60 into an external enclosure..
HD has been wiped clean., all USB seems working properly in the device manger..when plug into the usb its not reconized
by window's my computer..the computer knows that a new device is there,but not showing up in "My computer".. anybody have any solution please help.

I think until the drive is partitioned and formatted, MyComputer won't see it. You don't mention in what way it was "wiped". If the partition was deleted, then you need to partition and format first.

You also need to initialize the disk
