Is there a Win7 driver for the USB UltraNav Travel Keyboard?

#1 Post by cn487311 » Thu Nov 05, 2009 6:07 pm

I recently upgraded my W500 to Windows 7. I use the computer both in office and move. I connected a USB UltraNav Travel Keyboard to the computer when in office. Lenovo provides a Vista driver for the keyboard. But this keyboard has been discontinued. Anyone knows whether there is a Windows 7 driver for it?

Thanks.

I believe the Vista UltraNav driver should work. That is what Lenovo says to use in ThinkPads with Windows 7.

UltraNav driver for Windows 7 32-bit, Vista 32-bit, XP and 2000 - ThinkPad

UltraNav driver for Windows 7 64-bit, Vista 64-bit and XP - ThinkPad

Thanks for the reply. But these drivers are for an internal keyboard. I still need the Windows 7 driver for an external USB travel keyboard with UltraNav.

Why not try the Vista driver for the external keyboard you mentioned?

Tried the vista driver. So far the external keyboard has worked fine.

One weird issue is that installation must be done via the dpinst.exe but not setup.exe. Running the latter simply gives an error message "Could not find OS specific setup program".
