Lenovo displayport adapter vs. other brand displayport adapt

#1 Post by jwid » Thu Nov 26, 2009 7:49 am

As per lenovo website:
DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI-D Monitor Cable
General
Model name 45J7915
Description DisplayPort to Single-Link DVI-D Monitor Cable
Features & Benefits:
Support for attaching a single-link DVI-D (1) flat panel LCD monitor
1920 x 1200 WUXGA maximum resolution
20-cm (7.8 in) cable length
DisplayPort plug and DVI-D receptacle connectors
No software required

Is there any different with other brands/no-brands' adapter with same connector?
Lenovo deliberately stated '1920 x 1200 WUXGA maximum resolution', does this mean other brand's adapter can't achieve it eventhough the thinkpad can?
