Anyone tried this AKE combo USB/ bluetooth PCMCIA adapter?

#1 Post by bobcardone » Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:38 am

I like that it mounts flush in the slot, has a power switch and a USB 2.0 jack.
Anyone have any experience with this card or any other similar ones?

It sounds perfect for my X30 which has no bluetooth antenna prewired or bluetooth switch/ faceplate and USB 1.1.
Only disadvantage I see is I'm limited to 100ma current draw unless I use the supplied cable to jump from the native USB connector to the card, then it is 500ma.
Thanks,

Quite a few members on this forum use the same card you reference, do a search with AKE USB if you like.

I found a lot of info about the AKE USB card, but not about the USB/ bluetooth combo card.
I'll probably get one and try it... if it works, great! Cheap enough...
