Lenovo "Downloads and drivers" page

I like to manually keep track of what updates get posted to the Lenovo "Downloads and drivers" page. (For example, here's the one for my T60: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... idate=true )

I just wonder why sometimes it takes a few weeks before an update will be posted - it makes it more difficult to keep track. Just 2 days ago, the latest "Monitor file" update had a date sometime in September 2009, and then yesterday it moved up in the list with a date of 2009-12-11. So that means it was updated 4 weeks ago, but didn't show up on that page until yesterday. There are some other updates that have dates in early December but didn't show up until yesterday.

I loathe it as well.

I suppose it's based on the update being developed for the newest TP model and associated with it first. If it applies to others as well, great, but they just don't associate it with the rest at the outset, but later. Perhaps it's a conscious effort to piss us off enough to upgrade to a newer TP. Who knows. I know the matrix page even lags behind that, and SU doesn't even provide Win7 applicable updates despite their being online.

Yes, manual tracking is really annoying.. that's why I'm using system update service from ThinkPad software... the one of only few really needed factory software.
