Advanced docking and USB printer

Hi everybody

I've encounterd a strange problem. When I dock my t61p to my advanced docking station, windows does not recognize my usb printer (hp deskjet 1200c). I need to insert the usb cable directly to the side of the laptop. Windows finds a new device, but is not able to recognize it as a printer, nor let me install a driver.

Other usb devices works as they shold from the docking station.

Any idea why this is so, and if there is any remedy?

Try hooking the printer to a powered USB hub and then to the docking station. This will eliminate any potential power issues with the USB port on the dock.
