Thinkvantage Toolbox 6: Must be run as a TSR?

It used to be that I could run the Toolbox (PC-Doctor) manually by launching the application. Since I upgraded the older version (which had some problems under Vista) to the new version 6, it appears to run as a TSR, i.e. runs on the Task Bar whenever the computer starts, has no options to exit or close or launch it manually.

I don't want an extra background process running all the time, I don't need it. Have I missed something, or does it run under a cleverly disguised Service name, so that there's something I can do short of totally uninstalling it, and reinstalling it every time I want to use it?

(Mods, sorry if this is the wrong section, but this is neither OS nor machine-type specific.)

Thanks, d.

So it only LOOKS like a TSR....They've just done something totally Lenono, by confiscating part of the Task Bar for their own permanent launch button.

I'd like to meet the programmer responsible for that, and engage him in a short conversation in a dark alley.

Detailed in the other thread: IT ISN'T JUST A BUTTON, IT IS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND ALL THE TIME.
