Folks,

I'm interested in accessing the function keys like volume, display switching, and wireless radio from an external USB keyboard. Does anyone have a "how-to" for this?

I've got two x40s running Win 7.

Thanks,
-Mike

It's gonna cost you, something like this: http://salestores.com/lenovo31p949.html
But try our Marketforum, eBay and other sources.

They Keyboard Customizer Utility will do it. On XP at least. There is a Vista version, which I have never tried and therefore don't know whether it retains the same functionality, and how well it is supported on Windows 7.

I'm using it on Windows 7. It mostly work. However, I have the problem that sometimes it just stops working and I need to reboot. This might be specific to my installation though so give it a try.
