changing wifi card

#1 Post by retired » Thu Feb 25, 2010 5:17 pm

Gonna change my intel 3945 to a atheros ar5bxb6 (both ibm). Got the drivers ready. Don't have to mess with the bios?

As long as they are both IBM cards, and as long as the Atheros card is compatible with your machine, no BIOS changes are required. What is your machine and what is the FRU# on the Atheros card?

It should work with no issues.
