Toggle display (or simulate Fn+F7) with a single key?

#1 Post by JKellar » Sat Mar 20, 2010 1:39 am

I often use the Fn+F7 combination on my X61s to toggle display between notebook and external monitor. I would like to activate this same 'toggle display' function with a different, single keystroke. For example, the Thinkpad Button Customizer program below allows you to reassign the ThinkVantage key to another key, or even to launch an application, such as TpFnF5.exe (which is normally launched with Fn+F5).

The problem is, simulating the Fn+F7 keystroke combination seems to be impossible in WinXP and I can't find an Thinkpad executable similar to TpFnF5.exe (or a third party app) which would execute a 'toggle display' function. Any ideas?
