Veriface software

Has anyone been able to get the veriface software to work on a Windows 7 lenovo laptop, on which the software did not come preinstalled? I have an X61 running Windows 7 and successfully installed the veriface software. I enrolled my face and checked the box to skip the windows logon and go right to face verification. However, windows still only asks for my password on startup. Is there a Windows setting I need to set?

Thanks

hi
AFAIK the 'veriface' software is ONLY for 'select' models. The software has been CODED to look up 'a list' @ INSTALL TIME. Thus not making it possible to install in any other model or NON LENOVO laptops. FWIK it looks at 4or 5 things eg Bios, MFG Signature etc which is all compiled into a 'dll' and its hard to mess with...
I have Veriface working on a S-10 model and have tested it on few U and Y series Ideapads , and no it would install in any X, T or W series that I have tried to (all with windows 7).

I be keen to see if anyone else has some easy tricks - as i dont have much time to mess with decoupling dlls' etc to make things work.

There are several other 'face recogination' software availbe for sign-in to WinDOWS and or Linux/Unix OS.

Cheers

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear in my post.

My initial attempt at installing failed with an error that I wasn't using the right model (it actually was a more broad error message, saying that I wasn't even using a lenovo).

Windows 7, in all its brilliance, recognized that something was up and asked if I wanted Windows 7 to optimize the install and try again. I gave it a shot, and the install proceeded successfully. I now have it installed on my x61 and have logged my face and everything. The only problem is that windows does not offer veriface login as an option on startup. I feel like that's more of an issue on the microsoft's end, but I could be wrong. Is there a setting somewhere in Windows to enable alternative verification for login?

....while using 'veriface' the ONLY PURPOSE i know is for 'user login' . There are however two places i have in my setups > first at Windows Login and 2nd place is for a 'special Apps" for business purposes via Linux. If windows login dont work - dont see much point of installing it , in my view!

Am sure there is something missing during install or mising setup info.
Not sure of Xseries - dont have any handy at moment to test it - to help > sorry
