my 600x wont run a program that needs 32 bit colour depth

i recently installed a program on my 600x and i try and run it and it say that i need to change the display settings so i go to properties etc and it wont got to 32 bit
im just wondering if i can update something or download something that will change the colour depth so it goes to 32 bit
im currently using xp

please help !!!!

Your LCD and video card are only capable of 16M colors which is 24-bit.
You'll need better graphics to run that program.
The 600X is from about 10 years ago, and doesn't handle that requirement.

Compatibility options - Force the program to run in 256 colors.

I'm not running XP at the moment, but IIRC you right click on the exe that starts the program. One of the compatibility options is 256k color.
