First thinkpad - dual monitor setup

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of buying a thinkpad to replace my desktop. I'm looking for a 14 inch screen and decent (5+ hour) battery life. Other than everyday tasks, it needs to be able to play 1080p video, and play sc2. I'd like to be able to dock it to a docking station that supports kb/mouse, speakers, ethernet, and two 1080p monitors.
I'd really like to spend 1000 or less (laptop and docking station) but it's not a hard limit. Does a T410 with the 3100M 256mb and a Mini Dock Series 3 sound about right? Anything else in particular I should consider? Does Lenovo have a solution for discreet graphics on the docking station so I can just get integrated graphics in the laptop itself?
Thanks a lot in advance.
