Hiya,
Sorry but this might sound like a dumb question. Is it possible for me to put my DDR3 ram from my T410 into a X200 which uses DDR3 as well? I screwed my t410 and have to get a replacement and thinking of getting a standard 2gb X200 and then put the t410 ram in so it wouldn't go to waste. If its not possible then I guess i'll just buy an x200 with 4gb ram.
Thanks for your time guys!

Yes, both machines use PC3-8500. Am always interested in a good Thinkpad trashing story. What did you do to the T410?

Played poker, spilt some vodka (apparently), slept, woke up next morning, opened my t410 to find the keyboard and screen drenched in mysterious liquid. Did what every hungover person would do and started mashing on the power button, shorted the motherboard and now left with a very expensive piece of rectangular plastic which I sometime use as a chopping board.
anyways, nice one Harryc, guess i'll be getting the standard x200 then. btw would you know if the hard disk will fit as well? :p

Yes, the hard drive will fit as well. Sorry to hear about the spill incident. Unless you literally smashed it, it is still worth something. If you place an Ad in our Marketplace forum someone will pick it up for parts I am willing to bet.

Well, you're taking the RAM and hard drive, so lets assume that the systemboard and keyboard are shot and the LCD is good. Other parts might be good as well depending on where the liquid went inside the machine...like the wifi card, WWAN card if it had one, etc. I have no idea how much was paid for the machine, although I'd imagine it went for a good bit in the UK. I'd ask for 20% of the original cost or best offer and see what happens.
