I often have my Thinkpad attached to an external keyboard/monitor with the case closed.
The fingerprint reader pops up after 10 minutes of inactivity (seems to be the maximum) and I have to open the case to rescan my finger.
I could type in my password, but the bluetooth keyboard seems to not work until I rescan my finger.
Can the 600 seconds be lengthened, or do I have to disable the fingerprint reader?

Re: Fingerprint Reader and External Monitor / Keyboard
You can set the inactivity timeout in the Lenovo Fingerprint Reader program somewhere in the settings.
