tpnumlk & tpnumlkd?

#1 Post by rotcoddam » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:15 am

I just purchased a new SL510 with WinXP. One of the things I have learned over the years with ThinkPads (this is my third) is that, to get optimal performance, one of the first things one must do is to disable most of the garbage that IBM/Lenovo loads at startup (Connection Manager, Presenatation Director, etc). However, there are two (related) processes that I haven't seen previously and also can't find any information about on the internet. The processes are TPNUMLK & TPNUMLKD. Anyone have an idea what these are?
