T42p built in microphone location?

Found a prompt when I logged into gmail this morning to install a new app allowing for calling directly from within gmail. Went ahead & installed it not expecting to be able to communicate as I didn't even know there's a built in mike in this machine. Much to my surprise I was able to both hear and be heard, and apparently video's an option for those with built in cameras. I'm just wondering where the mike is located on this thing. Only remotely likely place I see are 2 small slots in the keyboard bazel immediately above the Esc key. Is that it? How about location on the T60p? Presumably it also has a mic although I've not yet tried making or receiving a call with it.

Interesting. That's what I thought, however putting my thumb over the holes made no apparent difference in the mike's ability to receive input. Anybody know about the T60p?

That's because the microphone is still picking up sounds that migrate through the openings in the keyboard. Your thumb is only cover up the grill in the palm rest and not the microphone which is mount in the base.
