Presentation Director for T400 w/XP?

#1 Post by emeraldgirl08 » Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:18 pm

I need a little help here. I'm wondering if it's a must to have Presentation Director installed to output through VGA in XP? I have a presentation I have to give tomorrow for one of my classes and need to use my Platter Drive that has XP installed. I don't remember if it would just work regardless if the Presentation Director was installed. Thanks :)

It will work, but you may want presentation director to help configure odd situations where the external LCD doesn't match your LCD's resolution, or you want to set specific resolutions, or you want to extend the image across two displays, etc. Here's a couple of links to help you decide. See if you can get to class very early to try VGA only. I'd install Presentation Director tonight just in case. ;).

Thanks Harry! :thumbs-UP:

I just want this to go smoothly and not have any bumps in my presentation! I'd use W7 but I have to show some stuff that requires a platter drive and my SSD has no XP on it! I'm going to install Presentation Director just in case right now! Thanks for the links also :)
