New 9 cell battery

#1 Post by JerzeeDevil » Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:37 pm

I just installed a new 9 cell battery in a T60 and the PC reports about 5 hours 15 minutes of power. Is this right for a 9 cell?

i've never seen anything like that in my t60p, but i'm running the 15"/uxga model which will chew up the battery. on a good day, i can get 2.5-3hrs running down to ~10%, but it's rare.

Although it reports 5 hours...I doubt it will last that long. Try running it until it goes into standby and see how long that takes. I would guess if you turn off wireless and dim the screen you could get close.

An Intel GPU-equipped T60 can run much more than 5 hours on a new 9cell.
